Niharika Rao is a South Asian organizer studying at Barnard College, Columbia University. They are majoring in Political Science and Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies and are deeply interested in promoting civil rights through public interest law. Niharika is a trained abortion doula and co-founded the Reproductive Justice Collective (reprojusticecolumbia.org), an intersectional collective focusing on on-campus abortion access, queer and trans health, direct action and service, and legislative advocacy. Obsessed with NYC history since their family immigrated here, in their free time they can be found walking their rescue dog, Dobby, in Riverside Park as they listen to audiobooks about the city.
