Sergio Quechol is a Mexican-Salvadoran from Los Angeles, CA. They are in their third year at Pitzer College double majoring in Gender Feminist Studies & Latin American Caribbean Studies. Sergio is passionate about gender, sexual and reproductive rights, which has informed their current research titled “Pleasure, Hopes, & Desires: Reconstructing Trans Narratives in El Salvador and the US” which is supported by the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship. They hope to attend graduate school and pursue a PhD in American Studies or Gender and Women Studies. Aside from academics, they enjoy listening to music, going record shopping, and attending to their plants.
