WE’RE EXCITED TO SHARE OUR NEW NAME AND VISION:

COLLECTIVE POWER FOR REPRODUCTIVE JUSTICE.

After over 40 years as CLPP, a program of Hampshire College, we are growing and evolving into the next phase of our existence as Collective Power for Reproductive Justice. Our mission is not changing. We remain a national movement-building organization centering reproductive justice.

Our new name was born through the collective input and power of our community, of each of you. Collective Power is an intersectional, intuitive, organic coming together of different voices, ideas, and disciplines. Together, we’ll always be working to push the growth edge, to center those most affected by reproductive oppression, and to create space for new and radical thought, infusing joy in each step along the way.

When we all come together from our different disciplines, backgrounds, and geographies the intersection of our collective power is transformative.

ON OUR NEW VISUAL IDENTITY

Our Collective Power visual identity is inspired by the way diverse colors intersect and blend to create new overlaps in watercolors, in rainbows, in the skies at dusk and dawn. Our mark is a living, breathing collection of many different individual parts, simultaneously an explosion and a gathering that makes a stronger, communal whole. We found inspiration in nature — in seedpod structures and cellular evolution and multiplication.

LIVING OUR VALUES

We heard from you, our community, that our collective values lie in liberation, intersectionality, inclusivity, new and radical thought, community, Reproductive Justice, and justice as a whole. In every step forward, we’ll work to intentionally and thoughtfully incorporate these values in our decisions and actions.

EVOLVING OUR PROGRAMS

Along with our new visual identity, we’ve given new life to our programs with names that reflect the action they transmit into the world.

Our From Abortion Rights to Social Justice: Building The Movement for Reproductive Justice Conference is now Collective Power Conference 2022. Every year, our conference logo will change as we bring together diverse ideas, perspectives, and leaders moving forward.

Our Reproductive Rights Activist Service Corps (RRASC) is now Collective Rising, representing the building, learning, creating, and rising of our interns.

Our New Leadership Networking Initiative (NLNI) is now the Emerging Leaders Network, exemplifying the transformation of tomorrow’s leaders.

And we’re excited to announce our newest program, Challenging Population Control, formerly Pop Dev at Hampshire College, which envisions a world where reproductive, environmental, and climate justice is liberated from “overpopulation” politics and eugenics thinking.
