Project South: Institute for the Elimination of Poverty and Genocide is a Southern-based leadership development organization that focuses on dismantling the root causes of oppression and creates spaces for movement building. Project South is committed to building people power from the bottom up, working across issue areas, and among many grassroots organizations working for the liberation of all people affected by economic, racial, gender injustice. We work with communities pushed forward by racism, poverty, and violence in order to strengthen leadership and provide popular political and economic education for personal and social transformation. We build relationships with organizations and networks across the US and global South to inform our local work and to engage in bottom-up movement building for social and economic justice.
